Cotton Candy Machine Rental

In the US you can get a cotton candy machine rental from $50 – $75 a day.

One machine from Hullabaloo Party Rental have an Econofloss machine that can turn out 4 x 1oz. servings every minute and more than 100 oz. of cotton candy per hour. You are supplied with a safety bubble to fit over the top of the bowl.

To get started you will need Cotton Candy Sugar, Cones and Bags. The bags would only be needed if you were working at a party and a bag was going to be sent home with each child as a party favor.

Obviously you will need to clean the machine before it is returned, but if you don’t want to do that you can pay $20 for cleaning and return the machine as it is – uncleaned.

Some companies charge for example Monday through Thursday at $110 per day, Friday, Saturday and Sunday plus holidays at $130 a day with additional machines and carts at $110.00. These prices are for a proper cart on wheels.

A table top version for the same period as above, at $70, $80 and $70.

Another supplier will rent you a machine for $70 a day and include half a gallon carton of pink vanilla or blue bubblegum sugar along with paper cones and a sugar scoop.

A half gallon will give you over 60 servings and you can get additional packs for only $10.

Costs are very good considering the amount of money you stand to make if you are going to do this as a money making exercise.

If you set up at a fair you expect profits in excess of 75-85%. I think you would agree that this would be good going. I have seen a figure of expected earnings of $1000 a day!

The first recorded commercial use of a cotton candy machine was at the 1904 St. Louis World’s Fair. Since then of course it has become a firm favorite with children and adults alike.

It is quite a strange phenomenon watching the strands appear. This sweet treat is just sugar and 98% air plus any flavorings naturally.
